What is Disposable Formwork?

Most people wonder what disposable formwork is when they first hear about it. It is a special reinforced concrete formwork system widely used in the construction industry. Its main purpose is single-use plastic formworks that allow easy pouring of reinforced concrete structures in the 15 to 300 cm height range.

Disposable Formwork and Radon Gas: A Historical Perspective

Disposable formwork has a long history as one of the fundamental building blocks of the construction sector. Cancer research conducted in Europe and America since the 1950s has identified that a radioactive gas called "Radon" accumulating in closed environments is a factor threatening human health.

Technical Details of Disposable Formwork

Disposable Formwork Systems consist of a series of materials and components specially designed to offer different advantages in construction projects:

  • Dome: Made from polypropylene (PP), designed with a height of 15 cm
  • Foot: Made from recycled polypropylene for Ø125 cm diameter PVC pipes
  • Strip / Guide: Strips connecting feet perpendicularly
  • Pipe / Column: Made from recycled PVC with Ø125 cm diameter, from 5cm to 300cm
